The National College for Motorsport was established in 2003 as a centre for vocational excellence for motorsport and offers race technician training to meet the demands of the professional motorsport industry, through full time and apprenticeship programmes, delivered from our purpose-built facilities at Silverstone.Circuit.
We were the first college in the UK to have achieved the Motorsport Academy Employer Recognition Scheme Charter Mark for its training for race mechanics. The scheme was introduced in 2007 to ensure that training providers deliver quality, industry relevant training. In January 2018 we were awarded the Motorsport Industry Association ‘Service to Industry Award’ for our exceptional performance in training and guiding young people into race mechanics apprenticeships.
